Hyundai is back this month, and is armed with a new car, produced by its new high-performance arm known as N. The latest product of the carmaker is called Hyundai RN30 Concept, and as you have already seen in the pictures it looks pretty cool and powerful. Of course there are a few things which need to be done on the whole division, that's why the models aren't ready yet to evade the markets, but from what we got it's obvious that the car is almost done.
Based on the new generation i30 hatchback, Hyundai RN30 Concept is a motorsport-inspired study developed jointly by Hyundai Motorsport (HMSG), Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center (HMETC) and Hyundai Motor’s Performance Development & High Performance Vehicle Division. You would think all that brainpower would have resulted in something a little nicer looking, but hey the RN30 is more about performance that it is aesthetics.
On that front the concept features a sweet setup which could be used in an upcoming hot hatchback or sports sedan. It packs a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 380 PS (279.5 kW) and a maximum torque of 46 kgf.m (451 Nm), delivered to all four wheel via a wet-type dual-clutch transmission (DCT) and sophisticated electronic limited-slip differential system (eLSD). What’s more, Hyundai RN30 Concept also features Electronic Variable Exhaust system and a properly sporty body kit which, unlike most other cars of this caliber, is not made from carbon fiber buy rather all-new high-performance plastic materials developed in partnership with BASF.
